The Septeni Group has been promoting sustainability activities, believing that contributing to the resolution of social issues through its corporate activities is required by its stakeholders, not only towards realizing its mission "To inspire the world with entrepreneurship," but also towards achieving its vision.

With the aim of promoting more effective activities towards enhancing corporate value, the Company has established a policy that sets the direction for its sustainability activities. From the Group philosophy revised in October 2022, the Company has adopted the mission "To inspire the world with entrepreneurship," and the vision "To be a place where people are empowered to create a new era. In addition, in sustainability activities, the Company has been advancing its initiatives while regularly reviewing the materiality identified in 2016 as the key themes to focus on. However, in response to the revision of the Group Philosophy, changes in social conditions, and changes in the expectations of stakeholders towards the Group, the Company has reviewed the materiality.

In the review, the Company extracted social issues mainly from international guidelines, and made a comprehensive judgment based on two axes: "expectations of stakeholders towards the Septeni Group" and "importance to the Septeni Group's business." The Company identified particularly high-priority issues, categorized them into four major categories according to the ESG framework, and created a draft.

Based on the draft, the Company collected opinions several times at the Sustainability Committee, Group Management Meeting, and Board of Directors. The Sustainability Committee compiled the opinions from various places and created the final draft. At the Board of Directors, the Company confirmed the connection with the Group's philosophy, including the revised vision, and the appropriateness as an important matter for the Group.

The Company has set subcategories, KPIs, targets, and target achievement timing for identified materiality, namely "Response to Climate Change," "Enhancement of Corporate Value by Empowering People Who Create a New Era," "Realization of a "Nameraka" Society Through Creativity and Technology," and "Building an Advanced Governance System to Support Discontinuous Growth." The Company will promote activities aimed at steady achievement.
