The Group started the Internet advertising business in 2000 and has since developed its business, focusing on the Internet.
In the digital advertising business and the Internet business, where the Group operates, and in all other industries, the large wave of the digital shift and digital transformation (DX) is emerging on the back of the development of communication technology and the spread of smartphones, which have helped the Group grow.
In the new Midterm Business Policies announced in October 2019, we stated that we will expand into new business segments. The Group is considering expanding into industries other than the Internet industry, such as the real estate, sports and entertainment industries.
The Group will ride the wave of the digital shift and digital transformation by using the expertise on the Internet business that it has accumulated in industries other than the Internet industry and will thereby create new growth drivers. At the same time, the Group will reduce friction in the business community and society using the Internet and technologies.
